The courses focus on the specific areas of La Salle-URL: architecture, robotics, animation and businesses for the future, as well as project management, innovation and digital marketing. International Summer School 2017, aimed at young people around the world from 15 to 18 years, will take place from 2 to 14 July at the Campus. All courses are in English, open to national and international students. In addition to accommodation on campus, they also include a whole range of activities planned in leisure time and weekends. Four specialized courses are offered:
- ‘Create your character!’ is a course in Animation which offers the opportunity to learn techniques of modelling, animation, lighting and visual effects used for series production, application of digital visual effects, and audio visual content and video games.
- ‘Be an Architect in Barcelona’ will be a practical experience deeper into the architecture of the city of Barcelona where students will have to work on a project to imagine, design and shape a building.
- ‘How can I make a social robot?’ How I can make him feel emotions? How I can provide information through the connection with social networks? The future is approaching robots into everyday life, and we can be an active player in this future. Robots are becoming social, which means they are now able to have social behaviours just like humans or animals.
- 'In the business sector, La Salle-URL proposes the ‘Business for the Future’ course where students will learn techniques of leadership, innovation, entrepreneurship, digital marketing, etc., applying new technologies in the business world to be prepared for future challenges.
For college students who are pursuing a degree or whether graduates, 22-25 years, La Salle-URL has four summer courses in June and July 2017.

In architecture, it will be launched the ‘Architecture Workshop: Mediterranean Harbours’ with three options: ‘Mediterranean harbours’, with a Mediterranean cruise to see the relationship between Barcelona and other enclaves of the Mediterranean; ‘Barcelona, harbour to the sea’, analysing the relationship between the city and the historical sites of Empúries (Girona) and Tarragona; or ’Catalan Modernism’.
The other three courses of 50 hours will be held between 19 and 30 June and will focus on: Project Management and Innovation, with a flexible and practical approach to the profession of project manager, from tasks to necessary skills; Project Management for Construction, linked to the need and current demand for professionals capable of developing a process with guarantees construction.
The latter courses will be both in English and Spanish, and also include scheduled social and cultural activities. International Summer School proposes also a new course centred in Digital Marketing, which will discuss the latest techniques and tools used in digital strategy such as Inbound Marketing, outbound marketing, web analytics, etc.
