La Salle-URL will have its own stand at the 41st edition of Comic Barcelona, the most important event in the sector in Spain and one of the most recognized in the world. The convention, which will take place between March 31 and April 2 at Fira de Barcelona's Montjuïc venue, will invite some of the industry's great figures.
The La Salle-URL stand (number 41) will be located in Hall 2 of the Fira. A group of campus advisors will inform about the studies that are taught related to art, animation and multimedia: the degree in Animation & VFX, the degree in Digital Arts, the degree in Multimedia Engineering and the new degree in Design and Creation of Interactive Products. In addition, during the three days of Comic Barcelona, students from La Salle-URL will show visitors the techniques for drawing with cintiq, a creative interactive monitor.
La Salle-URL is the only university center that will be present at Comic Barcelona, proving itself as one of the great educational references in digital arts, animation and multimedia in the country, sharing meetings with large publishers, bookstores and companies in the sector.
Presence of international figures and special activities
This year's Comic Barcelona recovers the presence of figures of international prestige, and it does so with the aim of "reinforcing the idea of reflecting the diversity of a medium in constant movement", according to the organizers. Some of the most recognizable confirmed names are Anne Simon, Aude Picault, Barbara Stok, Rosemary Valero-O'Connell, Igort, Léa Murawiec and Sammy Harkham, among others. Among its activities and exhibitions, the Comic Pro stands out, a section dedicated to professional activity in the sector.
