La Salle-URL participates in the Animayo Festival, one of the key events in the animation and video game sector

The director of the Digital Arts degree, Xavi Bové, will give a presentation and La Salle-URIL will have its own stand

The Animayo Festival, one of the main events in the animation, visual effects and videogame sector, celebrates its 18th edition in Gran Canaria between May 3 and 6. La Salle-URL, a benchmark in university education in Animation & VFX, Digital Arts and Multimedia Engineering, will be present at the festival with its own stand and will be the protagonist of one of the presentations, which will be given by Xavi Bové, Director of the degree in Digital Arts and renowned visual composer and artistic director.

A group of counselors will be present at the La Salle-URL stand during the four days of the event to inform about all the studies that are taught on campus, especially those related to art, animation and multimedia, among which are find the new degree in Design and Creation of Interactive Products.

On the other hand, La Salle-URL will be one of the entities that will lead some of the various presentations and sessions that are included in the Animayo program this year. It will be the Director of the degree Digital Arts, Xavi Bové, who will teach the workshop entitled 'Art and videomapping' that will take place on Saturday, May 6 at the Center for Cultural Initiatives in Las Palmas de Gran Canaria, main venue of the Festival. In addition, Xavi Bové will be one of the members of the panel entitled 'VR, metaverse, robotics, what does the future hold for us?', which will be held on Friday, May 5.

Animayo, an international festival of animation, visual effects and videogames

​The Animayo Festival is the first and only event designated a 'Qualifying Festival' by the Hollywood Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences for the Oscars in the Animated Short Film category. In addition, since last year it is also the only festival of its kind that qualifies for the best animation work in Spanish.

Animayo is one of the major meetings in the sector, and its program once again includes sessions on training and industry, screenings, leisure and experience areas, professional meetings, a space for young students and both family and school areas. More than 40 national and international guests and speakers will transmit their knowledge and reflect on the sector.
