La Salle Campus Barcelona and the Cluster de l'Energia Eficient de Catalunya promote education in energy management

The two entities create the Energy and Management program, a pioneering course aimed at those responsible in the energy sector

La Salle Campus Barcelona and the Clúster de l'Energia Eficient de Catalunya (CEEC) come together to promote complete and comprehensive education on energy management, efficiency in the use of energy and the use of renewable resources. The two organizations have created the Energy and Management program, the first of its kind in Catalonia. The course, which will begin in mid-March, is made up of eight sessions that will have key issues about the sector as threads:

  • Digital transformation applied to the energy sector
  • Blockchain and cybersecurity in efficient energy management
  • Circular economy in the energy sector
  • Local energy communities: technical and legal aspects
  • Storage in the management of electrical networks and self-consumption
  • Nearly zero energy buildings (nZEB) and energy certifications
  • Design of the electric vehicle recharging infrastructure
  • Energy management in industry: the energy manager

Focursing on the SDGs: affordable and clean energy

One of the United Nations (UN) Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), the seventh, speaks of guaranteeing access to affordable, safe, sustainable and modern energy. In the context of progress in the global achievement of this goal, La Salle-URL and the CEEC have closed this collaboration agreement, which through education in energy management aims to raise awareness about the responsible use of energy, care for the environment and sustainable thinking.

Specialist professors from La Salle-URL and experts in the sector

The Energy and Management program will be taught in person at the La Salle-URL Campus and, if necessary, the sessions can be followed virtually thanks to the Smart Learning educational model. The course is made up of eight master sessions that will be taught by specialist professors from La Salle-URL and will also include the participation of a series of renowned experts with experience in the energy sector.

The program is aimed at those responsible for energy management, maintenance, operations of companies in the industrial sector, services, public administrations, technicians in the areas of engineering and consulting, among others. On February 24, at 10 a.m., will take place the online information session that will explain the details of the program and the content of the eight sessions.
