The Digital Arts research line at La Salle-URL presents El Despertar de l'Aurora, a multisensory experience that will be showcased in the immersive room of the Interactive Arts & Science Laboratory (IASlab), the campus laboratory that is a European pioneer in transdisciplinary research and artistic creation, located in the Sant Joan Baptista de La Salle Building.
The project, led by professors Jorge Egea and Gloria Fernández and supported by the Generalitat de Catalunya, is research that combines digital art, heritage, and technology to revive the noucentista monument by Joan Borell Nicolau located in the Jardinets de Gràcia in Barcelona. The experience is complemented by two additional works that expand this approach to recovering Barcelona’s historical heritage through digital innovation: Stone Echoes: Light and Work of the Gothic and Sound Heritage of La Pedrera.
The project team is made up of researchers from the Human Environment Research (HER) group.
