1. General enrollment conditions

1.1. Official enrollment
In order to study the Degree in Animation La Salle only be allowed official registration.

1.2. Enrollment Application
The official enrollment must be submitted before the administrative deadline set. At the time the registration is submitted, students must fulfill the necessary access requirements established by La Salle and those required by the Ramon Llull University.

Therefore, there won’t be conditional enrollments, with the exception of foreign students who have their high school and pre-university studies waiting for certification or validation by the Education and Science Ministry, and that have passed the University Access Exam (PAU in Spanish).

1.3. Modifications and waiving of subjects
The enrollment may be changed or modified during the established period in October; only for correcting obvious mistakes that may have occurred before the official enrollment deadline, either by the Secretary's office or by the student.

2.1. First year students
Students that have unfinished subjects from the first year course must enroll at least to these subjects.

Students that only have passed or validated half or less of the first year credits, will have to enroll in the unfinished subjects.

REGULATIONS ON ADMISSION TO SECOND YEAR 

Students who, on completion of their first academic year, do not obtain a minimum of 20 credits from the course subjects taken, as opposed to those obtained through transfers or recognition, shall not be eligible to continue their studies at this institution. 

The Board of Examiners shall apply this measure to students in light of their progress and academic performance. 

2.2. Enrollment on more than one academic year's course
The subjects, in which a student is enrolled, must belong to the same academic year or at the most, to two consecutive academic years.

If these subjects of both academic years don’t complete 90 credits, students may enroll in the necessary classes to complete the total of credits.

So, students can enroll in the classes they want, observing the established on the previous paragraph. The validated subjects don’t count for these limits.

2.3. Enrollment on a new academic course
To be able to register on a new academic course, students will have to enroll in any unfinished subject from previous courses, unless they have quit the bachelor’s degree the subjects belong to.

2.4. Department intensification and specialization
In order to take the intensification or specialization of the Engineering School, students need the previous approval from the corresponding Department or Section. This authorization must be handed in when the payment of the enrollment fees is completed. 

3. Incompatibilities

3.1. Pre-requisites and incompatibilities between subjects
Before finalizing the Enrollment Process, the student must check whether there are any incompatibilities or pre-requisites between the different subjects..

Students must have passed the necessary prerequisites in order to enroll in some classes.

In exceptional circumstances, the Director may authorize the enrollment in a class which is incompatible, if it is requested by the student.

If a student has maximum 3 subjects left to finish the Bachelor’s degree, incompatibilities won’t be taken into account, provided that the student enroll in all this subjects. 

4. Bachelor’s degree final project

Students who have only the final project left cannot transfer their academic record to La Salle.

In order to enroll in the final project, students must have passed all the subjects from second to last year, and must be enrolled in all the remaining subjects.

The presentation of the final project in front of the examining board requires the previous registration of the title, with the approval of the supervising teacher and the Head of the Department.

The project is the final part of the degree program.

5. Exams and grades

5.1. Exams
Students have the right to be officially examined and graded on every subject in which they are enrolled.

The examination session is part of the rest of the course, and consequently students aren’t allowed to waive the exam session. If a student doesn’t attend an exam, s/he will automatically lose the right to be graded and will have a “not presented” on his/her file.

5.2.  Appealing against a grade
Students have the right to appeal against the final grade of the subjects. The appeal and the resolution of the grade will be regulated by the following rules:

  • The student has the right to request from the Director, by means of a properly reasoned written document, the review of the graded exam that is the object of dispute within fifteen days of the publication of the exam result reports.
  • The Director will arbitrate on the procedure he considered adequate to solve the dispute.
  • Professors must keep the exams or documents used for grading the students at least for a month since the publication of the exam results report to guarantee the possibility of review.

5.3. Certificates
Grade will only be issued for the ordinary and extraordinary examination sessions, regardless of the dates or the type of exam. The extraordinary grade of an exam has a review nature, and for academic purposes will replace the ordinary grade.

Exams grades will be available on the following dates:

  • June exams: July 15th.
  • September exams: October 15th.
  • January and February exams: March 30th.

 After the September exam session, those students that have maximum two subjects left to complete their studies, will have the right to be examined again in the January/February session. This does not apply for the English subject.

These students will have to officially enroll in all the subjects through the standard procedure, as set out in the statement 1.2 of these regulations.

In January/February there will be separate certificates. If a student does't pass the subject or subjects in this exam session, they will have the right to repeat the exams in the ordinary session in June and in the extraordinary session in September

6. Validation procedure

6.1. In the event that a student has partial studies at La Salle but in a different academic programme, the validation of the grades and subjects will be automatically recognized during the Admission Process. 

6.2. In order to validate other studies, the student must submit an application form addressed to the Director and the required documentation.

6.3. This application will include all the studies carried out up until that moment, and the validation will cover all the possible subjects of the bachelor’s degree, which can’t be extended in any case.
Only subjects requested by the student will be processed.

6.4. The validations will always be awarded based on the studies completed, never based on subjects previously validated.

6.5. The Validation Committee will meet on October. Once the validation has been published, the student will have to enroll in all the validated subjects.

6.6. Documents required:

  • Official accredited degree, diploma or certificate.
  • Course guide or syllabus published by the corresponding university.
  • Course program included in the aforementioned syllabus or curriculum.

All these documents must be official, original, issued by the official authorities, in the case of foreign students these must be legalized by diplomatic means, and must be accompanied by their official translation into Catalan or Spanish.
