The Corporate Board Council (CBC) of La Salle Campus Barcelona held its annual meeting, coinciding with the third anniversary of its founding and the start of the 2025–2026 academic year. The session served to review the achievements to date and to reflect on the new challenges ahead, with the aim of continuing to promote talent, entrepreneurship, and socio-economic cooperation to achieve a real and positive impact on society as a whole.
Three years of impact: over 260 activities and 8,000 students engaged
Over the past three years, the Corporate Board Council (CBC) of La Salle Campus Barcelona —currently made up of around thirty leading companies and institutions— has created value through more than 260 activities involving nearly 8,000 students from the campus. In addition, institutional agreements have been signed, the importance of collaboration has been highlighted in ten issues of the Council’s newsletter, CBC News, and the sponsorship of various CBC members has served to inspire different graduating classes, both bachelor and master’s.
Josep M. Santos, General Director of La Salle-URL and Co-President of the CBC, presented the foundations of the campus’s new strategic plan, linking it specifically to elements that reinforce the commitment to the environment and the connection between university and the business sector to generate a transformative impact on society. “We continue to pursue real influence, to be impactful and relevant both locally and globally. Where are we going? Shall we discuss it?”, Josep M. Santos asked CBC members, inviting them to co-create the Council’s future together.
Co-creation and synergies to shape the future
To work on the short and medium-term vision, Josep M. Piqué, Principal of the CBC and Executive President of La Salle Technova —the innovation park of La Salle Campus Barcelona—, led a participatory session aimed at sharing ideas. The session highlighted the achievements to date and, above all, outlined the objectives for the next three years. Numerous representatives of the companies that are part of the council contributed their reflections and proposals, actively helping to shape a shared roadmap.
Meanwhile, Josep Grau, Secretary-Coordinator of the CBC, and Rosa Ma. Alsina, Director of Research and Innovation at La Salle-URL, presented the results of the council’s three-year evaluation and emphasized the many synergies that can be generated with the Social Board Council, La Salle Campus Barcelona’s Social Entities Council, a parallel body of collaboration where the campus and around fifteen third-sector organizations work together to drive sustainable development and social transformation.
With its third anniversary, the Corporate Board Council has consolidated its position as a strategic space for dialogue and co-creation, capable of connecting university talent and the business sector to promote projects with real impact in education, research, and social transformation. The members of the CBC committed to continue working together on various projects in the coming months and to review the council’s activity at the next meeting, scheduled for February 2026.
