The AI Performance Playground 2026 event, powered by S+T+ARTS, brings together participants from diverse backgrounds to explore co-creativity between humans and AI, exploring AI and machine learning tools in the musical field. Between June 17 and 19, as part of Sónar+D 2026 in Barcelona, the selected participants will take part in three intensive collaborative sessions, first at the IASLab of La Salle-URL and then at Sónar+D in Llotja de Mar.
Participants will work all day at the IASLab and at the end will perform a first show in the immersive room, showcasing the results of their work.
This event highlights the growing prominence of Artificial Intelligence in music creation. This opens up new creative possibilities, but also raises the ethical challenges involved in its use. Important issues such as data governance and creativity always centered on the human being must be considered.
For three days, they will develop a collaborative performance, guided by experts, opening up new possibilities to help artists who want to go beyond the limits.
