We know the winners of the 10th Business Idea Contest (BIC) of La Salle Technova

This week we have met the three winners of the 10th edition of the Business Idea Contest (BIC) organized by La Salle Technova.

This year, it counted with the participation of 25 projects, of which 12 of them were selected to present their solution to the jury and, finally, three prizes were awarded to four projects.

The BIC is a stimulating tool to support the entrepreneurial spirit, the culture of innovation and the activity of the students within the university. All the students of La Salle Campus Barcelona were able to participate in the contest, both in the Masters programs and in the different studies of Business, Engineering, Architecture and Animation degrees.

A Technical Committee, formed by La Salle Technova members, La Salle-URL Technological Development Directors and members of La Salle BES, were in charge of choosing the winners, based on a series of criteria (structuring of the presentation, financial and technological viability, unity of the team, originality of the idea, identification of the need of the market and differentiation of the competition). These were:

1st prize: Delectrick: a platform to facilitate the pre-arrival process to the selected destination of the student. The main objective is that the student does not have difficulties to know and adapt to the new destination, without complications. The platform is based on a chat where the student can speak with someone of the same language and exchange ideas, tips, tricks, etc., as well as a room finder that fits perfectly to the needs of the student.

The contestants were Delhi Premoli Muniagurria, Tilla Lonnum, Patrick Richards and Celeste Dominguez, and with the first prize they will have access to:

  • La Salle Technova support to develop the business.
  • Free tickets for business events (4YFN).
  • Free participation in the PreAccelerator program + access to coworking.

2nd prize Mirror Dressup: a project based on solving the problem that many people have when deciding how to combine their clothes and choosing the right outfit for each day. The solution is found through an intelligent mirror, which recommends what clothes you can use every day depending on the weather, the temperature, the type of event you have scheduled for that day, trends, etc.

The contestants who proposed this solution were Diego Bellino, Nick Vander Graaf, Daniel Lázaro and Andrea García, and they will obtain:

  •  La Salle Technova support to develop the business.
  •  Free tickets for business events (4YFN).
  •  Access to coworking

The 3rd prize was allocated to two projects. One linked to Aquaviva: a project that is based on creating a water refilling machine called Puku INTELLIGENT to help reduce the amount of chemical toxicity that is created with plastic bottles. The project was done by the students Quim Menen, Albert Ferrer Peragón, Synamon Treco, Tinofara and Biel Buxo.

On the other hand, the other third awarded was E-Printing: a business model based on the proportion of a faster and more economical printing that connects customers who need a printing service through the implementation of new information technologies.

Contestants: Carolina Bevan, Josselyn Valarezo, Rebecca Ferrer and Arianna Gassmann. With the third prize, both projects will receive:

  • La Salle Technova support to develop the business.
  • Free tickets for business events (4YFN).
