On Tuesday, April 14 at 12.30 p.m., a tribute event to Josep Antoni Rom, Rector of Universitat Ramon Llull (URL) from 2022 to 2025, will take place at the auditorium of the Blanquerna-URL Faculty of Psychology, Education and Sport Sciences.
The event will begin with the posthumous awarding of the University’s Gold Medal, in recognition of Josep Antoni Rom’s dedication at the head of URL. Speakers will include: Lluís Recoder, President of the URL Board of Trustees; Miquel Tresserras, Dean of the Blanquerna-URL Faculty of Communication and International Relations (FCRI) (1993-2011); and Vicenç Pedret, Secretary of the URL Board of Trustees.
This will be followed by a roundtable discussion on the figure of Josep Antoni Rom from a multifaceted perspective. Participants will include his sister María Victoria; journalist Jordi Llisterri; President of Càritas Catalunya, Salvador Busquets; FCRI Blanquerna-URL professor Josep Maria Picola; and alumni Àntia Casanovas. The session will be moderated by Míriam Díez, Vice Dean for Research and International Relations at FCRI Blanquerna-URL.
