Companies and investors have been able to see first hand the 50 startup projects selected for the Tech Demo Day.

Last 10 November the innovation park of La Salle-URL, La Salle Technova Barcelona, held with great attendance success the 7th edition of Tech Demo Day, an entrepreneurship showroom where startups can publicize their product or project and identify interested investors.

Among the nearly 500 attendees there were technology entrepreneurs, private investors and companies looking for technological innovations to apply to their businesses.

Participating startups are part of sectors such as e-Commerce, Health, Renewable Energy, Logistics, Entertainment, Social Networking, Smart Cities, Education, Mobile, Big Data, Gaming or Marketplace. In addition, all startups had the opportunity to explain their projects to the attendees and more than 80 investors.

The most outstanding projects of this venture fair are companies like Elp!, which offers subscribers an assistant to any order that they may occur, Fashiop, a retail company that offers an online personal shopper for men, The Pay Pro, offering professional, micro and small businesses payments in 25 currencies saving 90% in kickbacks from banks, Nektria, a company dedicated to the optimization of collaborative transportation and logistics systems, QuackApp, a social network for High Schools or Bet4Talent, a portal where companies can seek for talent.

The event opened at 15:30 and at 16h was held an opening speech by Jaume Gomà, CEO of Ulabox, a company that uses technology to innovate in the field of food and beverages to help users to buy in a simple, convenient and fast way. Gomà stressed that to achieve success in an era where changes are very fast and very unforgiving must be known how to adapt and go changing too. In addition, he emphasized it must be known how to break stereotypes and to unlearn and think globally in order to get into new and creative ideas that can change the functioning of the market.

After the lecture attendees learned about the projects of the 50 startups that had the chance to present their business idea. Besides exhibiting startups participated in a OpenMic where they talked about their projects and how they are evolving their businesses in the market. To finish the event both participants and attendees enjoyed a networking session to meet and create links with big industry professionals.

Tech Demo Day has the support of companies in the sector and has signed an agreement with the BStartup program of Banc Sabadell to offer different services to Technova startups.
