Context

Social action is an essential part of the campus identity and of the way we understand integral education. The Lasallian educational model, based on a vocation of service, equity and inclusion, drives a university committed to social transformation and sustainable development.

Origin

The Social Board Council (SBC) was born within the framework of the Campus's social action projects.

The SBC was formally established on 4 June 2025, with the participation of fourteen founding organisations from the social, educational, housing, health and international cooperation sectors.

It was created with the aim of establishing a stable space for dialogue and collaboration between the University and social organisations —NGOs, associations and foundations— to jointly address social challenges and promote sustainable development.

Mission

To connect academic resources, university talent and the social commitment of the university community with the needs and challenges of social organisations, promoting initiatives that drive community development, inclusion, equity, social justice and sustainable development.

Who is it aimed at?

The Social Board Council is aimed at:

  • Social organisations that wish to collaborate with the university on projects with social impact
  • Students and alumni committed to social transformation
  • Academic staff and researchers interested in developing projects with community impact
  • Administrative and service staff who wish to actively contribute to social commitment initiatives

Likewise, the Council promotes training for the entire university community in values committed to social justice and responsibility towards the environment, preparing its members to face social challenges with a critical and transformative perspective.

Benefits for SBC member organisations

SBC member organisations will have access to:

  • Ongoing collaboration with degree programmes and research centres on social innovation, R&D and final degree projects (TFG).
  • Priority access to talent, job placement and internship arrangements, as well as participation in the Talent Week and Talent Fair.
  • Connection with the Alumni network, La Salle International and the entrepreneurial ecosystem.
  • Special conditions for training (master's programmes, inCompany programmes and specific teaching).
  • Institutional visibility and presence at campus events and campaigns.
