The interpretation of Ludwig Wittgenstein's Tractatus Logico-Philosophicus is closely linked to the fact of taking into account (or not) the context in which it was born. Since the last third of the 20th century, the reading that sees it intimately linked to the Vienna immediately prior to the Great War has predominated. This reading is thus separated from the one that dominates the first half of the century, and which was contemporary with Wittgenstein himself. The contextual approach has the added advantage of presenting the work, making it even more understandable, within the framework of the vital interests of its author and of his time.
This will be the third talk of the academic year 22-23 of the informative cycle 'Research Fridays', a series of conferences that explores questions about university research and how this knowledge is transferred to society, always linking with one of the fields of knowledge of La Salle-URL. The speaker is Dr. Carles Llinàs, dean of the Faculty of Philosophy La Salle-URL.
