First session of the quarterly series of conversations on education and artificial intelligence (AI), a space for reflection on the impact of AI on the educational mission from a humanistic perspective open to transcendence.

La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull is launching this series of conversations to reflect on and discuss the challenges posed by artificial intelligence in education and its impact on how we understand education and the human person. The series takes the encyclical Magnifica Humanitas by Pope Leo XIV as its starting point.

This first session, ‘Technology and Dominion. The Human Person and AI’, will explore the relationship between technology, artificial intelligence and the human person from a humanistic perspective. The conversation will feature Rosa Ma. Alsina, Provost at La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull, and Br. Jorge Sierra, Pastoral Mission Delegate of La Salle in Spain and Portugal (Arlep District). The session will be moderated by Armando Pego, professor and researcher at La Salle-URL’s Faculty of Philosophy.

The event is open to the entire campus educational community.
