NTT DATA, a leading technology consulting company, and La Salle Campus Barcelona, a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull that integrates seven areas of knowledge, consolidate their strategic relationship through the collaboration agreement signed by both institutions. The agreement involves the realization of joint activities, among which the launch of a call for scholarships that will be allocated to master's degrees in the area of cybersecurity stands out.
This call for scholarships strengthens the relationship between the company and the university within the framework of the 'La Salle partners' program and positions NTT DATA as a strategic partner of La Salle Campus Barcelona. The company is also one of the members of the Corporate Board Council, the campus business council that works to promote the development of entrepreneurship and economic-social cooperation.
For the 2024-25 academic year, the scholarships will be allocated to the Master in Cybersecurity and the Master of Science in Cybersecurity Management, with the objective of supporting outstanding students who want to develop in areas related to technology and business, sectors in which NTT DATA is a referent on a global scale. These scholarships make it possible to train professionals in a growing sector, namely that cybersecurity leads the needs of companies that are in a digital transformation process, as confirmed by all types of reports.
In the words of the General Director of La Salle Campus Barcelona, Josep M. Santos: "The call for scholarships that we are launching with NTT DATA is excellent news. In the global context, in which there is a huge amount of information circulating on the network and cyber attacks are one of the main concerns of companies, cyber security has become one of the professions of the present and the future, and that is why it is so important to continue training professionals with global values and skills who can face all the challenges and challenges that will arise". On the other hand, Xavier Rovira, managing partner of NTT DATA Barcelona, explains: "Supporting the educational ecosystem in Barcelona to be able to bring it closer to the reality of business demand is essential to ensure that talent develops its maximum potential. The partnership agreement between both institutions also means that NTT DATA can get involved in the training of the scholarship holders, following up, participating in events and presenting challenges so that the students can work on them during the course. With this agreement, in addition, NTT DATA and La Salle Campus Barcelona reinforce their commitment to continue working to link student education with the business world.
