Every attack leaves evidence. The challenge is knowing how to interpret it.
A cyberattack does not reveal its full story straight away. When the first alert is triggered, an investigation begins to determine what happened, how the attacker gained access, which systems may have been compromised and how to contain the threat.
In this online masterclass, we will reconstruct a real-world cyberattack step by step. Starting with the first signs, we will identify the initial access vector, analyse logs and indicators, recognise the techniques used by the attacker and move into digital forensics, malware analysis and reverse engineering.
Together with Marc Rivero, we will explore how different areas of cybersecurity connect — from ethical hacking and cyber threat intelligence to detection, digital forensics and incident response — to understand the scope of an attack and make informed decisions.
A practical, guided session for professionals and people with an interest in or prior knowledge of technology who want to understand how a cybersecurity incident is investigated and managed. You do not need to be a cybersecurity specialist.
