Director of Innovation in Payments at Banco Sabadell | Coordinator of the Master in Artificial Intelligence at La Salle-URL.

With over 25 years of experience in the financial and technology sectors, Xavier Rodríguez has led strategic innovation and digital transformation projects in toptier organizations.

At Banco Sabadell, he currently serves as Director of Innovation in Payments, after previously holding roles such as Director of Innovation and Cross-Functional Projects in Payments and Director of Digital and Payments Projects, where he led initiatives in mobile payments, digital banking, and project management for complex programs.

He also represents Banco Sabadell at the European Payments Council, participating in the Mobile, Cards, and POI Working Group and contributing to the development of industry standards and best practices.

Xavier’s previous experience includes senior positions at Deutsche Bank and CaixaBank, where he managed online banking, mobility projects, and digital transformation initiatives.

As Coordinator of the Master in Artificial Intelligence at La Salle-URL, he brings this extensive practical experience directly into the classroom, helping students understand how to apply AI to real-world business challenges, lead multidisciplinary teams, and drive impactful innovation in organizations.
