Hector Balsells Roure

Héctor Balsells Roure received his bachelor´s degree in Mathematics and his bachelor´s degree in Computer Engineering from the University of Barcelona in 2025. He is currently studying a master´s degree in Advanced Mathematics at the UPC. Her teaching focuses on algebra and mathematical foundations, and her research seeks to use topology to extract information from data.

Full-time lecturer at La Salle Campus Barcelona - Ramon Llull University since February 2025, teaching in the field of mathematics focused on engineers (Algebra and Mathematical Foundations).
Research activities
Researcher in Interaction in the Human-Environment Research Research Group, since 2025. His lines of research focus on using tools derived from topology to interpret haptic data.
He has also carried out research at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center related to Natural Languange Processing using Reinforcement Learning.
