Professor

Yanina Kowszyk holds a PhD in Geography from the University of Groningen and a PhD in Business from the University of Barcelona (Cum Laude). She also holds a Diploma in Public Policy and Project Impact Evaluation from the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, as well as two Master’s degrees in Social and Political Studies and NGO Management.

She is currently a lecturer at the Universitat Ramon Llull (La Salle), in the field of business and digital transformation. She has also taught at institutions such as ESADE and several universities in Chile.

Her research focuses on governance frameworks and business models related to the twin green and digital transition, with particular emphasis on extractive industries, critical minerals supply chains, circular economy, and socio-environmental conflict management. She also works on intercultural leadership, entrepreneurship, and research methods in the social sciences.

She has participated in numerous international research projects funded by organizations such as the World Bank, the European Commission, and the United Nations, and has an extensive academic publication record in high-impact journals and books on sustainability, corporate social responsibility, and energy transition.

Previously, she has developed an extensive academic and professional career across Latin America and Europe, combining applied research, teaching, and collaboration with public and private institutions in the field of sustainable development.
