The scholarships will be allocated to master's programs in the area of Technological Management and Digital Innovation and Data Science

Nestlé Global IT Hub, which provides IT services to Nestlé, a leading company in the food and beverage sector worldwide, and La Salle Campus Barcelona, a founding member of the Universitat Ramon Llull that integrates seven areas of knowledge, strengthen their relationship with the renewal of the collaboration and cooperation agreement to carry out joint activities, among which the launch of a call for scholarships for masters in the area of Technological Management and Digital Innovation and Data Science stands out. With this agreement, Nestlé becomes a strategic partner of La Salle Campus Barcelona to promote a closer relationship between the company and the campus.

The scholarships have been created with the aim of supporting outstanding students who want to pursue a master's degree in areas related to technology and business, in which the Nestlé Global IT Hub is an international benchmark. The food company is committed to sustainability, technological innovation and talent development, and plays a fundamental role in the economy, both through job creation and through initiatives that promote education and vocational training. On the other hand, La Salle Campus Barcelona has technology and humanism in its DNA, and its mission is to train professionals with values, innovators and entrepreneurs.

The programs in which these scholarships are offered are the Master of Science in Technology Management and Digital Innovation and the Master of Science in Data Science. For the General Director of La Salle Campus Barcelona, Josep M. Santos, the agreement is great news: “We are very satisfied to continue strengthening ties with companies such as Nestlé, member of the Corporate Board Council, the business council of La Salle Campus Barcelona. This agreement is a great opportunity to continue with our mission of offering accessible education and training professionals of the present and future in values and global skills.”

For her part, Susana Pastor, Global IT Hub Manager at Nestlé, states: “The challenges and opportunities that lie ahead require close collaboration between companies and universities to bring knowledge and training to young talent. In an environment like technology, which is constantly evolving and growing, this collaboration becomes even more necessary. Our Global IT Hub team has experienced exponential growth over the past eight years, and we continue to move forward. For this reason, it is of utmost importance to contribute to the development of the skills of our young people, since our economic and social progress in the coming years will depend on them. With this objective in mind, we launched the Nestlé scholarship, designed to boost the capabilities and vocations of young talent and be able to offer them the best tools and opportunities for their future incorporation into the labor market.”

This first call for scholarships for La Salle-URL master's degrees focuses on some of the areas with the greatest professional growth, such as digital innovation and data science, crucial today due to the exponential increase in digitalization and its impact on people, companies and governments. Furthermore, the partner agreement between the Nestlé Global IT Hub and La Salle Campus Barcelona implies mutual cooperation in sessions and conferences organized on the campus and the commitment to continue working to link student learning with the day-to-day life of the business sector.
