The IoTiCAT hosts a series of seminars on quantum information with researchers from La Salle-URL and external experts

The Internet of Things Institute of Catalonia (IoTiCAT), one of the unique spaces of La Salle-URL, hosts until next April a series of seminars on quantum information given by La Salle-URL researchers and external experts. The activity will consist of seven sessions that will address, from different approaches, the state of the art of quantum information technologies.

The cycle takes place in the IoTiCAT, the space in which La Salle-URL researchers work and which is the meeting point to reflect, study and promote dialogue between all members of the university's knowledge ecosystem from a transversal perspective. The seven sessions will be held in the Ágora, one of the laboratory classrooms, and are open to the participation of the entire La Salle-URL community of students, educators and researchers and society in general.

The IoTiCAT is an interdisciplinary laboratory co-financed by the European Union inaugurated at the beginning of 2020, which promotes the transfer of knowledge between the university and companies while contributing to the development of innovation and the study of the great challenges of the current society in the field of technology.

The cycle consists of the following seven sessions:

  • Quantum mechanics - Friday, February 3 at 3.00 p.m.
  • Quantum information - Friday, February 24 at 3.00 p.m.
  • Quantum correlations - Friday, March 3 at 3.00 p.m.
  • Quantum communications - Friday, March 10 at 3.00 p.m.
  • The paradigm of quantum computation: How to program on a quantum computer - Friday, March 24 at 3.00 p.m.
  • Quantum machine learning - Friday, March 31 at 3.00 p.m.
  • Societal perspective and emerging quantum ecosystems - Friday, April 7 at 3.00 p.m.
