Alberto Romero Gil

Alberto Romero Gil (1978) is a visual artist who combines his personal artistic development with teaching drawing, painting, and artistic anatomy. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and has received various grants and awards to further his academic training. Of particular note are those awarded by the internationally renowned painter Antonio López García, whom he considers his direct mentor in both pictorial language and the ethical approach to painting. His work has been exhibited in both national galleries (Sala Parés, Galería Estampa) and international galleries (Marieke Severence, Maastricht). His work is included in several private and public collections, such as the Vilacasas Foundation, the MEAM Museum, and the University of Barcelona.
He has extensive teaching experience in both university settings and private instruction. Since 2014, he has been a professor of drawing and anatomy at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona. In 2019, he began teaching painting and movement drawing at La Salle. For 8 years he directed the "painter´s craft" workshops at the MEAM museum and is currently part of the Massana Permanent staff, teaching specialized courses on color and painting.
