Alberto Romero Gil

Alberto Romero Gil (1978) is a visual artist who combines his personal artistic development with teaching drawing, painting, and artistic anatomy. He holds a degree in Fine Arts from the University of Barcelona and has received various grants and awards to further his academic training. Of particular note are those he received from the internationally renowned painter Antonio López García, whom he considers his direct mentor in both the pictorial language and the ethical approach to painting. In 2019, he appeared in the TVE documentary "Apuntes del natural" (Notes from Nature), directed by Nicolás Muñoz, about the artistic life of the painter Antonio López. Alberto Romero´s painting aims to delve into the secret life of forms through observation and the language of painting.

Teaching Experience
He has extensive teaching experience in both university settings and private training. Since 2014, he has been a professor of drawing and anatomy at the Faculty of Fine Arts in Barcelona. In 2019, he began teaching painting and movement drawing at La Salle. For eight years, he led the "Painter´s Craft" workshops at the MEAM Museum, and he is currently part of the Massana Permanent staff, teaching specialized courses in color and painting.
Professional Activity
Her work has been exhibited in both national galleries (Sala Parés, Galería Estampa) and international galleries (Marieke Severence, Maastricht). Her work is included in various private and public collections, such as the Fundació Vilacasas, the MEAM Museum, and the University of Barcelona.
