It’s that time of year again, and the yearly La Salle Alumni event is back. Held on 19 June, former alumni, current students and teachers will all have the opportunity to meet and share their experiences and memories throughout the afternoon. Under the theme of “The Internet of Everything”, there will be a round table, a lecture by Victor Küppers, and a space for networking and cocktails. This year, the Alumni event also coincides with the celebration of the 300th anniversary of the death of St. Jean Baptiste de La Salle, founder of La Salle.
Artificial Intelligence is here to stay. ALEXA, CORTANA and SIRI are clear examples of technologies that are being incorporated into our daily lives, opening up a new window to the world, improving customer experience and reducing effort and time needed when performing a variety of tasks. All this is already having an enormous impact on the way we do business, and this will only expand in the future. The event will focus on these innovations, which are here to stay, through various activities:
The event will begin with a round table moderated by Iñigo Pradera, Director of Business Services at La Salle-URL, which will be attended by representatives from companies, start-ups and members of La Salle from the different areas of knowledge (Engineering, Architecture and Business Management) to provide knowledge about where the business world is currently heading in these sectors and the latest trends in the Internet of Everything and how we can do business in this changing world.
The speaker Victor Küppers will then offer an active discussion with all attendees. The aim of Küppers’ conferences is to act as a stimulus and help participants to reflect in order to boost their motivation and both work and live with greater joy, enthusiasm and optimism.
The Alumni Celebrating 300 Years event will end with a cocktail and networking session open to all attendees.
