The application of ICT in Health Management has been a reality for years in Spain. Its implementation at Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona is one of the most successful pioneering cases, improving management and achieving more effectiveness, efficiency and quality of care.
Through this unique masterclass, taught by Dr. Francesc Garcia Cuyàs (Director of Digital Strategy and Data -CDDO- and Assistant to the Medical Directorate of Hospital Sant Joan de Déu), we will explain the global concept of Digital Health and what are the factors that must be present to fit- it in the health sector. We will expand information on the Digital Health Strategy in Catalonia and, finally, we will analyze the success case "Liquid Hospital", how eHealth is applied in a healthcare provider such as Hospital Sant Joan de Déu.

Doctor in General and Digestive Surgery and currently Assistant to the Medical Directorate and Director of Digital and Data Strategy (CDDO) of the Hospital Sant Joan de Déu in Barcelona), accredited associate professor of the Department of Surgery of the Faculty of Medicine at Autonomous University of Barcelona and the University of UVIC-UCC, and president of the Catalan Digital Health Society.
He has been Director General of the TICSalut Social Foundation and director of the ICT and Health Chair at the UVIC-UCC, he has directed the Technical Secretariat and Information Systems of the Catalan Health Institute. He has also been director of the Argos project at Germans Trias i Pujol Hospital and assistant physician in the same hospital's Department of Surgery.
