Lliurament de premis de la Setena edició del concurs LSDreams

The 12 th day of May will be held at the university campus of UniLaSalle in Beauvais on the seventh edition of the LSdreams event.

This event is recognized the best innovative projects developed by a group of five students from Spain and six students from Turkey under the supervision of four tutors. The aim is to promote initiative, creativity and collaboration between students and their tutors with an eye on the development of ethical projects to create a more just and sustainable.

The event, which was chaired by Brother Aidan Kilty, General Counsel of RELEM (region comprising Lasallian educational works La Salle Europe and Middle East), attended by Brother Miquel Àngel Barrabeig, director communication RELEM's brother Pedro Luis Rodríguez, President of La Salle Campus Madrid, Josep Mª Santos, CEO of La Salle Campus Barcelona Ecobichon Laurence, director of Marketing and communication UniLaSalle, representing Mr. Philippe Choquet, Director General of UniLaSalle and Félix Riera, director of the Organizing Committee of LSDreams we invited other teachers of the university campus UniLaSalle.

This year the winning projects revolved around alternative energy, reuse of materials, architectural projects of houses and in the fields of health, nutrition in adolescents, the prevention of heart attacks and improving care psychological children. After the reading of the minutes of the jury were awarded diplomas and prizes as follows: First prize in the area of business management, which fell on the team of St Joseph Fransiz Lisesi center of Kadikoy, Turkey, the project "Nourished Education" was delivered by Josep M.Santos, students, Ilayda Gokcen, Guray Sener, Cagla Deniz Duman and his tutor Ebru Aktimur.

In the area of Health, the first prize was given to the College Saint Joan Baptista de La Salle Valladolid, Spain, for the project "PLSMMA" delivered by brother Pedro Luis Rodríguez students, Alejandro Gordillo Campos and Claudia Garcia de Leaniz Peña, tutor and Fernando Álvarez de la Calle.

In the area of Life Sciences and Earth were awarded two first prizes. The LSdreams Special Prize, awarded to La Salle College of Bonanova Barcelona for the project "Reusing the coffee grounds as fertilizer" was delivered by Brother Aidan Kilty students Joan Alonso Alvarez, David Cobos Filloy and Ricard Casanovas Ortiz de Zárate and tutor Ane San José Méndez. The other award that same area Prize ASSEDIL - LSdreams, was given to the team of École Saint - Michel Fransiz Lisesi, Istanbul, Turkey, for its project "Energy for providing Safe Mines". Students Arinc Utku AyduranAsumla Ayduran and Saner Kerem Oney and his tutor Volkan Gonen collected the award from Laurence Ecobichon.

In the closing speech of the event delivered by the Chief of the General RELEM, Brother Aidan Kilty explain that values creativity, initiative, collaboration, dedication and commitment are the characteristics of a real school and lasal·lià I stress that beyond specific projects presented, are also important values that have meaning throughout life and that these virtues will help each participant achieve their own potential

The winning team members were able to enjoy a number of cultural visits during the two and a half ten in the cities of Beauvais and Paris which were used to establish bonds of friendship among both students and tutors between cultures countries but certainly have lasal·lià DNA.
