Description
The subject introduces the learner to the use of analysis elements and tools, which can create an audiovisual product. Because of this, the student will be given a 'look' capability (videogame or any other audiovisual product), not only as a mere form of communication, but also as a work of art or wit. Cinematographic language represents the reference archetype of the languages used in all the audiovisual media around us (film, television, video games, web and all other digital media). So your knowledge is made necessary by anyone who wants to understand the functioning of the channels of communication that we face in our daily lives, and even more so, by anyone who wants to be part of the professionals in the new media industry.

Objectives

The main objective of the subject is to provide the student with the knowledge to understand the audiovisual language and thus to create an audiovisual product.

To carry out this objective, the subject focuses on:
Understand the theoretical and methodological foundations of cinematographic and audiovisual language.
Understand the mechanisms of audiovisual communication within the framework of the contemporary culture of the ubiquitous image.
Know the disciplinary areas of application of audiovisual language in different sectors: cinema, television, advertising, journalism, video games, web, social networks, and all digital media.
Learn the professional and technical terminology shared between the different areas of audiovisual communication, and learn how to use it.
Know and apply elements, methods, procedures and resources to develop and realize the creation of an audiovisual product.
Acquire basic knowledge and critical skills to develop the ability to analyze any audiovisual text (movie, video game, commercial, news program, video clip, TV series, documentary, etc.)
Understand the foundations of aesthetics of the image.
Understand and understand techniques and processes for the production and dissemination of audiovisuals and the main trades related to the industry.

Present classes with front-end exposure of the contents.

Analysis of audiovisual products in class and out of class.

Each semester is individual. This means that if the 1st semester is suspended, it will not average the second. The final note will come out of the average between the semesters.

Extraordinary call:
Students cannot submit to upload note if semesters are approved.
Suspended exercises during the semesters can be recovered from the end of the first quarter until 29 June 2020.
The note to be obtained from these will not be greater than 5.
These exercises will be recovered individually, either individually or groupally.

Evaluation Criteria

Be able to plan, design, create and record audiovisual content.
Know the language and audiovisual narrative as well as the ability to translate them into practice.
Ability to analyze any audiovisual, to obtain information and understand its impact in relation to the media.
