Xavier Castillo Ferrer
Xavier Castillo obtained a Telecommunications Engineering degree at UPC in 1976, a M.Sc. in Electrical Engineering at CMU in 1978 and a Ph. D. in Electrical Engineering (Computer Engineering) in 1981, an MBA (IESE) in 1988, and a BA (Honours) in Humanities (Music) at the Open University in 2009.
He has held several executive management positions in IT and telecommunications companies like Data General (Systems Mgr., Managing Director in DG Portugal), BT (Sales Mgr.), Retevision (Sales and Marketing Director) and Tempos 21 (CEO).
Xavier Castillo has been teaching regularly at the UPC, the FPC, the UPF, and La Salle.
Currently, he is teaching courses on R&D & Innovation Mgmt,, ITC Market and Policies, and the Innovation Process Mgmt. He is member of the GRUPO DE REFLEXION DE AMETIC, a Think-Tank for the IT sector.
