Pere Artís Gabarró

Pere Artís received a five years degree in Telecommunications Engineering from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia in 2001. He also holds a DEA (Advanced Studies Diploma, somewhat equivalent to a MSc) in vibroacoustics from the URL (Universitat Ramon Llull). For several years, he worked in an acoustic laboratory (Applus) performing a wide range of acoustical measurements and simulations. He is currently responsible for the acoustics laboratory at the Department of Media Technology, La Salle, URL and has acted as an acoustic consultant engineer in several projects. His research mainly focuses on developing experimental methods for noise transmission paths in buildings and on characterizing acoustic field diffusivity in reverberant rooms.
