Teaching activity

University lecturer with extensive experience in numerical analysis, discrete mathematics, probability and statistics. Long-standing academic career at the Central University of Venezuela, including supervision of doctoral and master’s theses.

Research and transfer activity

Established researcher at the Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC), within the Computer Applications in Science & Engineering (CASE) group.

Research focuses on:

  • Advanced numerical methods
  • Seismic wave propagation
  • Earthquake modelling
  • Seismic data inversion and hazard analysis

Active participant in major European research projects (Horizon programs). Author of numerous publications in high-impact journals (Q1/Q2), including work combining machine learning and geophysical modelling.

Senior researcher in high-performance computing and earth sciences, combining scientific software development, applied research and international collaboration. Extensive international research experience in the USA, Chile and Europe.
