Miriam García is a PhD architect, landscape architect, and urban planner, currently serving as the director of LAND LAB, a landscape laboratory specializing in resilient and sustainable design. Her career spans professional practice, academic research, and teaching at esteemed institutions such as Harvard, University of Pennsylvania, Politecnico di Milano, and Universidad de los Andes. She has received numerous awards, including the Extraordinary Doctoral Thesis Award from the Polytechnic University of Madrid, an Honorable Mention in the European Manuel de Solà-Morales Prize, and selections for the Venice Biennale and Spanish Biennial of Architecture. Her research focuses on climate resilience, particularly in coastal, urban, and metropolitan landscapes, with a strong emphasis on adapting cities to climate change.
