María de Valles Silvosa

Lawyer with extensive experience in the healthcare and biomedical research sectors, specialising in legal affairs, human resources management and compliance within highly complex hospital settings. She began her professional career at Cuatrecasas Abogados, in the Employment Law Department, before joining, between 2013 and 2023, as Legal and Human Resources Director at the Vall d´Hebron University Hospital Foundation – Research Institute, where she also served as compliance manager. Since 2023, she has held the position of Head of Legal Affairs at Sant Joan de Déu Hospital and its research foundation, the Fundació Privada per la Recerca Sant Joan de Déu. She combines this role with university teaching as a lecturer on the Health Engineering and Biomedicine degree programmes. Having completed a Master´s degree in the Ancient Mediterranean (UOC-UAB-UAH), she is currently preparing her doctoral thesis in Gastronomic Sciences at the Basque Culinary Center.
