Marc Vizcarra, urban architect from ETSAB – UPC and ETSAV, with training at ETH Zürich, and specialist in urban law from the ICAB, develops his career across practice at Peralta Urbanisme, inter-scalar research and teaching at La Salle Campus Barcelona – Universitat Ramon Llull. Specialising in strategic urban planning and legally complex planning documents, he has authored and drafted more than 30 metropolitan-scale planning instruments and urban studies.

He has combined private practice with public sector work at the Urban Planning Department of the Barcelona Metropolitan Area, participating in the strategic definition and location of metropolitan centralities for the PDU, the preparation of mobility infrastructure impact assessments and urban acupuncture interventions. In parallel, he has engaged in international research on responsive cities (ETH Singapore) and urban air mobility (TU Delft).

He is the author of publications in Plannur and UPC Commons, with projects selected at the International Landscape Biennial. He has spoken at the Àgora d´Urbanisme and the Local Technical Seminar of the Federation of Municipalities of Catalonia. As a lecturer, he has been a guest professor and teaching assistant in the Infrastructure and City studio at ETSAB – UPC.

He has been awarded the Catalonia Urban Planning Prize Manuel de Solà-Morales 2026 (Societat Catalana d´Ordenació del Territori – Institut d´Estudis Catalans), the Premi Sant Jordi, the Batlle i Roig Chair Prize and the Ferrer Eguizábal Grant for academic excellence in obtaining the Urban Law specialisation from the Barcelona Bar Association
