I received Ph.D. degree in Electrical Engineering, M.Sc. degree in Electrical Engineering and B.Sc. degree in Telecommunication Engineering from La Salle, Universitat Ramon Llull (URL) in 2008, 1994 and 1992 respectively. I worked as an engineer in R & D for three years and six months in CIBERVEU, SA, a company dedicated to speech technology, aimed at people with disabilities. Then I had the opportunity to come to La Salle, in particular to work on the technology transfer department. Then I worked as an Assistant Teacher and researcher at Media Technology department of La Salle.
Currently I am the coordinator of the Degree in Audiovisual Engineering and I am a teacher of the following courses: Calculus, Digital Signal Processing, Digital Television and Speech and Audio Processing. My main interest in teaching is to introduce project-based methodologies for learning technological content. My major research interests are audiovisual speech synthesis and acoustic modelling of emotional expression. I have several contributions to scientific journals and international conferences.
