Hugo Zarco Jasso

Hugo Zarco-Jasso is currently a professor and researcher at La Salle Campus Barcelona-Ramon Llull University. He is a mathematician and holds a PhD in Management from IESE Business School (2010), and a Master’s Degree in Management from Pompeu Fabra University (2002). He was a visiting scholar at Stern Business School at New York University (2011) and gained experience as a consultant in the energy sector and for the World Bank (2001).
Teaching Activity
His teaching activity focuses on Strategic Management, International Business, Digital Economy, and Mathematics.
Research Activity
He is a researcher in the Smart Society Research group and coordinates the Digitalization research line. His current research explores open innovation, ecosystem management, and cross-sector collaboration. He has participated in research projects funded by the European Commission and the Spanish Ministry of Economy and Competitiveness.
Professional experience
He was a former public servant in the energy sector. Later, he gained experience as a consultant (Blue-Green Capital, 2007; National Economic Research Associates, 2008), and at the World Bank (2001).
