Guiomar Corral Torruella

Guiomar Corral received the Ph.D. degree in telecommunications in 2009. She received both her M.S. degree in Electronics Engineering and her degree in technical Telecommunications Engineering from Universitat Ramon Llull (URL), Spain, in 1995 and 1998 respectively. She also received her degree in Master in IT Security from the same university in 2001.
She is member of the Research Group in Internet Technologies & Storage (GRITS) since 2014. Previously she was member of the Research Group in Intelligent Systems (GRSI) from 1998 to 2013. She has published several publications on the subjects of telecommunications, network security and intelligent systems applied to networking systems. She has participated in R&D projects on topics like network security, Artificial Intelligence techniques applied to networking and PLC networks. She has participated in the European research projects OPERA (FP6) and INTEGRIS (FP7).
She is the academic director of the engineering degrees at La Salle. She is also the program coordinator of the Degree in Network and Internet Technologies Engineering and the Degree in Engineering in the management of ICT. She is a full-time lecturer of Networking in the URL since 1997, and instructor of CCNA and CCNP CISCO certifications since 2000 in La Salle.
