His thought is oriented towards philosophical anthropology and ethics. Framed within contemporary personalism, in his work he proposes an analysis of the central questions of human existence (suffering, silence, death, God, meaning, freedom) from a philosophical perspective that tries to integrate the richness of the Judeo-Christian heritage and modern and contemporary philosophical currents.
A specialist in Søren Kierkegaard (who has translated from Danish to Catalan), he has a deep knowledge of the thought of the thinkers of suspicion (Friedrich Nietzsche, Sigmund Freud and Karl Marx), the theologian Hans Urs von Balthasar, Edith Stein, the psychologist Rollo May and the Façade of Glory of the Sagrada Família by Antoni Gaudí.
He is the author of more than 120 books and more than 2,000 articles.
