David Miralles Esteban

He holds a degree in Theoretical Physics from the University of Barcelona (1995). From 1996 to 2001 he worked at the Department of Fundamental Physics at the same institution. In 2001 he obtained a PhD in Mathematical Physics. Since 2001, he has been a lecturer at La Salle – Universitat Ramon Llull. He has undertaken several research stays at international institutions, including the Instituto de Matemática, Estatística e Computação Científica, Campinas (Brazil, 1998); the International Centre for Theoretical Physics, Trieste (Italy, September 2004); the Observatoire de Paris (France, March 2005–06); the MIT Media Lab, Cambridge (USA, May 2014); and Imperial College London (UK, 2024).
In the field of technological dissemination, he has been a speaker at the Mobile World Congress, the CCCB, and sector-specific events such as Kids Cluster and EdTech. He is currently a member of the Human-Environment Research (HER) group, where he works on the mathematical modelling of the perception of autonomous systems and their relation to human behaviour. Outside the academic sphere, he co-founded Btripple, a company dedicated to the development of educational technology.
