Teaching Experience

  • He has taught courses in the areas of: Electronics (Fundamentals of Electronics, Electronic Instrumentation, Analog and Digital Electronics, Sensors, Biomedical Instrumentation, Electronic Equipment Design), Digital Systems (Introduction to Computers, Computational Logic, Microprocessors, Computer Architecture), and Digital Signal Processing. He has supervised more than 60 Bachelor´s and Master´s theses and 4 doctoral dissertations.

Research and Technology Transfer Activities

  • His research focuses on the development of systems, methods, and tools for the stimulation, acquisition, processing, and analysis of biomedical signals.
  • He is the author or co-author of more than 30 papers in indexed journals, more than 90 publications presented in international conferences, and 8 intellectual property registrations. He has translated two books for the publisher Marcombo in Barcelona.
  • He has participated in and led several research projects funded by entities in Spain, Argentina, Germany, Brazil, Belgium, Canada, and Cuba. He has participated in and led technology transfer projects related to medical devices.
  • Visiting Researcher in the  "Programa Amazonas Doutor Sênior", at the State University of Amazonas in Brazil (2007).

Professional Activity

  • Full-time Professor at La Salle-Universitat Ramon Llull and Coordinator of the Bachelor´s Degree in Health Engineering (2023-present). Full Professor and Senior Researcher at the University of Oriente (UO), Cuba (1986-2023).
