Augusto César Fantinelli Carvalho

I am a mechatronics engineer with a master´s in mechanical engineering, specialising in acoustics and its integration with robotics. Currently working as a research assistant (since September 2023) and teacher (since September 2024) in the acoustics and audio research line of the Human-Environment Research (HER) group, conducting research in ultrasonics and parametric acoustic loudspeakers. I am also pursuing my PhD in Acoustic Engineering at La Salle ¿ URL, within the framework of the SONORA project, which focuses on the automatic sorting of packaging waste in reverse vending machines.
My education includes a MEng in Mechanical Engineering from the Federal University of Technology of Paraná (UTFPR, Brazil), with a thesis entitled "Application of Plane-Wave Decomposition on the in situ Absorption and Isotropy Measurement" (2021-2023). I have also previously worked as a teaching assistant in the Vibrations course for the Bachelor´s degree in Mechanical Engineering at UTFPR. During my undergraduate studies, I was involved in laboratory activities related to bio-inspired mobile robotics and the industrial automation of flexible manufacturing systems.
