Teaching Activity

Full-time professor at La Salle Campus Barcelona – Ramon Llull University since 1990. Previously, he served as a lecturer at La Salle Campus Barcelona from 1986 to 1990. His expertise focuses on computer architecture and software engineering. He has supervised 7 PhD dissertations and more than 200 undergraduate and master’s theses in the field of ICT engineering.

Research and Technology Transfer Activity

Researcher in the Smart Society Research Group. He has participated in competitive research and technology transfer projects, producing 10 books, serving as editor of 12 books, publishing 13 journal articles, and presenting over 50 conference papers. He has been involved in the organization of 5 conferences and academic workshops. His research interests include databases, distributed systems, computer architecture, business intelligence, knowledge management, technology, and education. He has been the director of the Distributed Systems Research Group and a member of GRETEL.

Professional Activity

From 1984 to 1985, he worked as a Nixdorf Computer 8870 programmer at the Centro de Mantenimiento Electrónico de Apoyo General. Ministerio de Defensa, Madrid, Spain.
He serves on 6 scientific committees and is a member of two professional associations in the fields of engineering and distributed systems.
