Armando Jesús Pego Puigbó

Professor of Humanities. Main Researcher of the ´´Philosophy and Culture" (Research Line within the Smart Society Research Group of La Salle - URL). He has gained recognition for three periods of six years research (AQU-Catalunya).
He obtained a degree and a PhD in Hispanic Philology (Extraordinary Award) from the Complutense University of Madrid, specializing in the area of Theory of Literature.
He did a postdoctoral stay as a Visiting Fellow at The Warburg Institute (University College of London). He was hired at the Institute of the Spanish Language - CSIC (Madrid). He has also collaborated as an associate professor with the University of Barcelona and ISCREB - Barcelona. Since 2004 he has been teaching at the Ramon Llull University.
His research is focused mainly on the theory of literary genres, the relationship between philosophy and culture and the history of Western spirituality. He is author of some monographs such as:
- El Renacimiento espiritual (Introducción a los tratados de oración españoles. 1520-1566) (Madrid: CSIC, 2004).
- Modernidad y pedagogía en Pedro Poveda (Salamanca: Universidad Pontificia de Salamanca, 2006).
- Poética del monasterio (Madrid: Ediciones Encuentro, 2022).
