Alfred Rocha Rosal

Alfred Rocha runs the Mission critical Systems within the Mobile Communications subject.

Alfred holds a BSc degree in Telecommunications from LaSalle Telecommunications Engineering University and his technical background derives from the professional radio industry. Within the sector, he has held several managing posts in several international companies including Hitachi and Kenwood for the Iberian market. He started his own business in 1994 and now owns a leading company in the market for professional radio and fixed microwave links.

His main areas of interest are the PMR trunked systems and the point-to-point microwave links in licensed bands (6 to 87 GHz). He has been involved in numerous large scale radio communications systems in airports, ports, municipalities and public administration in general. He is a contributor to the knowledge base of the sector through his own expertise, discussion and debate at many technical seminars in the UK, Denmark and Latvia.
