Alfonso Godoy Muñoz

Alfonso Godoy is an architect and co-founder of arqbag, an architecture cooperative focused on sustainability and energy efficiency. Graduated in 2008 and with a master´s degree in Sustainability (UPC, 2012), he is a PhD candidate at the UPC. A lecturer since 2017, he teaches classes on environmental conditioning at the UPC and participates in postgraduate programmes in energy efficiency at URV and UB, specialising in passive climate control and energy simulation. In research, he has worked on international projects such as MAREnE, SAVASCO and Roadmaps for Energy, and on developments with the integration of solar panels. Professionally, he has led environmental studies in iconic projects such as Cristalerías Planells in Barcelona and La Cité du Théâtre in Paris, promoting passive strategies in multi-family housing for IBAVI. His work has been recognised with awards such as the Arquitectura Terra Ibérica and AJAC XI. Member of COAC and IBPSA Spain, Alfonso combines teaching, research and consultancy, always focused on architectural and energy sustainability.
