La Salle-URL consolidates its position in China with the signing of a collaboration agreement with the University of Electronic Science and Technology of China (UESTC), a university center in the city of Chengdu that has nearly 40,000 students and specializes in science and technology. The objective of the agreement is to generate a long-term relationship between both universities to articulate common projects of a very diverse nature: science parks, research, teaching staff, students and good practices, among others.
In parallel, the agreement serves to establish the China Europe Institute for Management and Entrepreneurship (CEIME), which will be located in the Future Science and Technology City of the Chinese city of Chengdu, whose mission is to support entrepreneurs in the creation of companies innovative and sustainable and improve the exchange between institutions and countries. The signing was carried out virtually and was attended by La Salle-URL with the general director, Josep M. Santos, and the director of Internationalization and Innovation, Josep M. Piqué.
This agreement joins others that La Salle-URL already has with Chinese universities: Renmin University, Fudan University and Shanghai University of Finance and Economis (SUFE). Recently, within the framework of its internationalization strategy and to strengthen its position in Asia, La Salle-URL opened a new office in the Chinese city of Shanghai.
