Between November 12 and 21, the 26th edition of Science Week will take place throughout Catalonia, an initiative that seeks to bring science and technology closer to citizens and promote scientific vocations among young people. La Salle-URL will participate organizing a soundwalk in the Superilla of Poblenou, in Barcelona, on Thursday, November 18, starting at 4.30pm.

The activity will be guided by Rosa Maria Alsina, Director of Research at La Salle-URL, and Marc Arnela, professor and researcher, both members of the Research Group on Media Technologies (GTM) at La Salle-URL. The soundwalk will be an informative itinerary that, through the Hush City App, will show participants the noise levels of the Poblenou neighborhood. Researchers at La Salle-URL have already organized several activities of this type, raising awareness of the problem of noise pollution in large cities and examining the Catalan soundscape in recent months. Researcher Antonella Radiccchi from TU Berlin collaborates in the activity.

This year's Science Week focuses on sustainability, coinciding with some events related to this issue. The event is organized by the Fundació Catalana per a la Recerca i la Innovació (FCRI) and has the support of institutions and entities in the field of research and dissemination of science and technology, such as La Salle-URL. The many activities that make up the program —virtual conferences, exhibitions, workshops, itineraries, courses and webinars, among others— are organized in different spaces throughout Catalonia and are aimed at all types of audiences.
