La Salle-URL has organized the international congress on acoustics, NOVEM 2018

The 6th edition of international congress on acoustic and vibrations NOVEM (Noise and Vibration Emerging Methods) organized by Research Group on Technology and Media (GTM) of La Salle-URL was finished with success.

The NOVEM 2018 congress brought together the world's leading experts in vibro-acoustic, induced acoustics for fluid-structure interaction, noise and vibration control. In addition to the three daily sessions of parallel presentations, each day attendees were able to enjoy a forum dedicated to a current research topic. The NOVEM forums consist of three presentations by experts in the field, followed by a discussion open to the public. This year, the three forums dealt with optical methods for measuring noise and vibrations, non-linear acoustics and methods for validating numerical models in vibro-acoustic.

The congress was attended by some 150 speakers from all over the world, representing an increase of almost 20% over the last edition. A total of 108 presentations were made, divided into 98 regular presentations, 9 keynote speeches and one distinguished conference.

NOVEM 2018 was organized by Professors Dr. Oriol Guasch (chairman), Dr. Frances Alías and Dr. Marc Arnela from GTM, with the help of Berta Rosiñol and Carla Giménez, from the Corporate Communication and Institutional Relations Department of La Salle, URL.
