La Salle-URL has taken part in the fifth edition of Òh!pera, an initiative promoted by the Gran Teatre del Liceu and Disseny Hub Barcelona that fosters the creation of contemporary micro-operas and encourages collaboration among emerging talent from different artistic disciplines. In this edition, students from the Bachelor in Digital Arts at La Salle-URL joined the creative team behind Jo, núvol, one of the three productions premiered from 2 to 5 July at Fabra i Coats: Fàbrica de Creació as part of the Grec Festival Barcelona programme.

Under the artistic direction of Àlex Ollé, Òh!pera brings together composers, librettists, stage directors, musicians and university students in transdisciplinary teams, working collaboratively over the course of almost a year to develop short operas that explore new musical and performing arts languages. The project combines experimentation, innovation and creative risk while preserving the essence of opera through the integration of music, dramaturgy and stage direction.

Jo, núvol, the production in which La Salle-URL students participated, features a libretto by Alicia Kopf, music by Sergi Puig, stage direction by Lucia del Greco and the collaboration of Infiled. The work tells a story shaped by artificial intelligence and memory, reflecting the project's commitment to exploring contemporary themes through new artistic formats. The participation of La Salle-URL students is part of the educational dimension of Òh!pera, which brings together students from universities and higher education institutions in Barcelona specialising in design, performing arts and music. Students work alongside industry professionals, taking on responsibilities in areas such as set design, costume design and the visual concept of the productions within a professional and transdisciplinary creative environment.

In addition to Jo, núvol, this fifth edition featured the micro-operas La vida por los cuernos, with music by Anna Colom and a libretto by Pablo Macho Otero, and Opereta, with music by Arnau Brichs and text by Pol Guasch. The three productions were staged over four consecutive days at Fabra i Coats, further establishing Òh!pera as a leading platform for the development of emerging talent in contemporary artistic creation.
