LA SALLE-URL CELEBRATES THE SECOND WELCOME SESSION FOR NEW STAFF MEMBERS

This session focused on how the university centre is part of the Lasallian network, and how individuals come together to carry out a larger-scale mission.

The second welcome day of the 2019-2020 academic year was held for recently recruited staff at La Salle-URL.

In the first presentation, Brother Martí Roca, commissioner of Identity and Mission of La Salle-URL, Iñigo Pradera, director of Corporate Governance of La Salle-URL, and Isabel Soler, delegate of training and identity of La Salle Catalonia, explained to the fifty new incorporations how the university centre fits into the international network of the Institute of the Brothers of the Christian Schools, in particular through common values based on faith, training and community.

THE FIRST PART OF THE SESSION

Then, under the guidance of Josep Maria Ribes, Director of Academic Planning at La Salle-URL, the highly heterogeneous team of new staff members enjoyed a playful exploration of how a good organisation, with efficiently defined roles and a climate of trust, makes it possible to carry out a large-scale collective project. This message took physical shape through the construction of a small human tower (Castell).

It was the second of three sessions in which the newer recruits get to know each other better and deepen their understanding of the institution and the relationship between La Salle Campus Barcelona-URL and the La Salle network and Ramon Llull University, of which La Salle is a founding member.
