La Salle URL is an academic partner of the Data OPS Barcelona conference

The Data OPS Barcelona conference, of which La Salle - URL is an academic partner, will take place on June 21 and 22.

The Data OPS Barcelona will take place on the 21st and 22nd of June at the World Trade Center in Barcelona. This event, of which La Salle - URL is an academic partner, is a Congress that deals with issues related to databases, automation, high availability, cloud solutions and security among others.

Joan Navarro, associate professor in the Department of Computer Engineering and director of the Master's Degree in Big Data at La Salle-URL, will lecture on the line of research in computing and storage in the cloud. Specifically, its research focuses on Cloud Computing, Big Data and Distributed Systems, specifically in the areas of Concurrency Control in Distributed Large-Scale Systems and Replication Policies in Cloud-based Databases.

Those attending the congress have the chance to obtain the La Salle Scholarship - DataOps 2018, a scholarship rewarding talent in data science with 50% of the Master's degree in Big Data and the Master's Degree in Data Science.

The Barcelona Data OPS Barcelona 2018 Congress aims to analyze different cases in a complete set of topics in databases such as MySQL, MariaDB, MongoDB, PostgreSQL and column storage solutions.
