The 'La Salle Social Challenges' project, led by the La Salle-URL researcher Leticia Duboc, has been awarded as the best initiative 'Good Practices in University Social Commitment' in the tenth edition of the ACM Social Responsibility Awards awarded by Aristos Campus Mundus, the campus of international excellence made up of the University of Deusto, the Comillas Pontifical University and the Ramon Llull University.

The project was developed last year with the participation of Engineering and Digital Arts students from La Salle-URL. The initiative fostered intergenerational and transdisciplinary collaboration through the co-creation of interventions in which technology played a fundamental role. La Salle-URL students participated in the project working together with citizen volunteers.

The aim of the project was to value inclusive societies and reflect on how to age well in society. In this way, the working groups developed their assignments around various challenges: unwanted loneliness; physical changes; housing problems; and the work and emotional load.

Leticia Duboc, leader of the initiative, explained that they sought "the reconciliation of different visions of the world to create interventions that combine technology and art, recognizing their responsibility in introducing them into society." Each group consisted of Engineering students, Digital Arts students, and a volunteer. In addition, the groups were mentored by professors of Philosophy and Social Sciences.
